What is the difference between thermopane and insulated glass? Thermopane manufactured insulated glass. Thermopane became synonymous with insulated much in the same way that Xerox is to photocopy and Kleenex is to tissue.

Please note: Thermopane, Xerox and Kleenex are registered trademarks.

How to measure? Measure the visible width of the glass first and then the height.  We will adjust for the portion of the glass hidden within the frame.

What are mutin bars? Mutin bars are the aluminum bars inside the insulated glass unit that for decorative purposes forms a colonial type pattern.

What is Low E glass? Low E glass is treated with a clear metal finish that makes the glass more energy efficient and reduces the ultra violet rays of the sun from passing through.

What is tempered glass? Tempered glass has been heat treated, which makes the glass stronger.  When this type of glass breaks it forms small pebble-size pieces.
